Better Face Lift: The Water Lift
It may be a breakthrough in the continuing democratization (some would say “downscaling”) of aesthetic procedures, but the “Water Lift” could conceivably eliminate the downtime associated with traditional face lifts.
Pioneered by Dr. R. Patrick Abergel, the technique injects a solution of pressurized saline and lidocaine between the skin and underlying facial muscles to loosen the connective tissue and eliminate extensive sub-dermal slicing.
Excess skin still ends up in the surgical waste bin, but the result, says the CA surgeon, is significantly less bruising, swelling and nerve damage.
