Bethenny Frankel Diet

Bethenny Frankel’s diet is disappointing. Why? Because Bethenny Frankel’s diet has to be perfect, she is the author of Naturally Thin, for goodness’ sake. Naturally Thin is a pretty good diet book, but Bethenny Frankel’s diet does not seem to follow what Bethenny preaches in Naturally Thin.
Do not get me wrong, her diet is not terrible, it is just that if you write a book about dieting and eating healthy, there is a certain expectation that your own diet should be polished and exemplary.
What is wrong with her diet and how can she improve it? Let’s take a look at Bethenny Frankel’s diet.
Breakfast (about 361 calories) Her breakfast is different every time. One example of her breakfast is a muffin with a large soy drink from Starbucks. The drinks is sugar-free, which is great, but a muffin for breakfast? Seriously?
Obviously, if your breakfast basically consists of simple carbs (read sugar) – it is not a good breakfast. A proper breakfast should contain protein and some complex carbs. It also needs to be hearty, which means that it should be high in calories.
Lunch (about 716 calories, for Pizzeria Uno lunch) Bethenny’s lunch is hardly any better than her breakfast. “The other day I had a piece of Pizzeria Uno pizza with a lot of veggies and a salad,” says Frankel. On some days she eats a big salad that contains cheese, tomatoes and spinach.
Okay, so there is nothing wrong with having a piece of pizza once in a while, but again, she wrote a book on dieting and how to lose weight by eating healthy, surely there are better lunch choices out there, much better choices.
Dinner (about 535 calories) Her recent dinner choice was a piece of New York steak, a couple of margaritas, some broccoli rabe, salad and sauteed mushrooms, which is a pretty good dinner.
Snack (about 150 calories per serving) She snacks on Ezekiel bread with humus and soy cheese or some cashews. Soy cheese? Ewww!
The bottom line on Bethenny Frankel’s diet Her breakfast is pathetic and needs a major overhaul, her lunch should really be an occasional treat, her dinner fine, and her snacking habits are not bad either, except soy cheese, of course. [source: Life & Style]

There us nothing wrong with soy cheese, and its much healthier than eating something that came out of a cow, I have been a vegan for 7 years once I stopped eating all that hormone laced fat, I lost 30 lbs

From the looks of it…it doesn’t sound like you have read her book and only read the end where she gives an example of what she eats. Her book is not about dieting and how to lose weight. It’s about being in control of food, “tasting everything eat nothing….” You should read the book before posting.

Tasting everything and eating nothing does not sound like a good diet approach, but in any case, this post was not based on her book. Look at the source.

Clearly you did not read the book- first of all she eats much less than what you described which is actually the problem. When she references eating a muffin, she’ll only eat a part of it and then not have any other carbs for the rest of the day. And about the steak- she infamously talks about eating 3 bites of a steak instead of ever finishing it… and her signature drink is a ’skinny girl margarita’ which is very different from a regular one.

Bethenny Frankel is smart and gorgeous women. I love her book and her approch towards the food. She really teach us to look at food differently. As soon as I started following her ideas and rules, I started losing weight. And most importantly feel great, ligth, fresh and healthy! That’s what she meant by writting the book-to be in control and staying healthy!
