Anacetrapib Is Coming
Look out, Lipitor, a new drain opener could be on its way to drugstores. Merck has developed a pill that’s been shown to simultaneously decrease LDL cholesterol by as much as 40 percent and increase HDL by up to 139 percent.
The drug is called Anacetrapib, and researchers are currently testing it for safety and efficacy. The question is: Do we really need it? Do we need more drugs like Anacetrapib to reduce cholesterol or do we need more education about changing our eating habits for the better? [via Men’s Health]
