Amy Winehouse gets emphysema from smoking, and what does she do? She keeps smoking, of course.
Amy Winehouse’s emphysema condition is no joking matter, she can die from it, but apparently she does not care. That’s just sad.
Winehouse hasn’t gotten any better since exiting rehab in February. Her father revealed that Winehouse, 24, is in the early stages of emphysema after she was hospitalized for fainting in her London home June 16.
“With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes, her lungs are all gunked up,” he told Britain’s Sunday Mirror. “She’s got 70 percent lung capacity.” While her rep confirms that Winehouse is “showing early signs of what could lead to emphysema,” she adds that “she feels great and is reacting well to treatment.”
