Ali Larter: Diet

Ali Larter: Diet

Because Ali Larter is very active, she has always been at a healthy weight. But she also credits moderation for her slim figure.

Ali Larter’s diet “One night, I splurge and have pasta and champagne and finish with a chocolate soufflé. The next, it’s a salad for dinner and frozen yogurt for dessert,” she says. Most of the time, Ali follows an all-organic diet which consists of cereal, like muesli, with vanilla soy milk for breakfast and a grilled chicken salad for lunch.

“I love to cook my own dinners,” says Ali. “But I rarely eat carbs at night because I tend to put on pounds when I do. So I just make a sauce, like a thick lamb ragout, skip the bread and pasta, and add a salad.” Smart!

While she does try hard to keep away from high-calorie treats, every now and then a pint of ice cream does find its way into Ali’s freezer. When it does, she doesn’t deny herself; she simply follows the advice she once heard someone give: “I take three bites and throw the rest out!” Ali says. “If I don’t, I’ll eat it all night long.”

I think Ali’s approach to keeping in shape is rather refreshing. She has not fallen for fad diets, yet she managed to keep her weight in check. Her diet is simple but not overly restrictive, which pretty much guarantees a long term success. [via]
