Bianca Kajlich: Diet and Workout

Bianca Kajlich: Diet and WorkoutLook at those shoulders, impressive! What does she eat and how does she keep her body in shape?

Bianca Kajlich is married to L.A. Galaxy soccer star Landon Donovan – who obviously knows a thing or two about proper nutrition and exercise – but when it comes to staying in shape, Bianca follows her own rules.

Bianca Kajlich’s diet “When I’m on set and I see something yummy like cake or cookies, I remember my food motto: You can always eat it later. So I take the treat home and put it in my fridge.

Then I ponder if I really want it. Sometimes it ends up in the trash, sometimes in my mouth. But at least I’ve stopped myself from eating without thinking.” (more…)

Zone Diet Tips

Continued from Zone Diet Foods.

Size matters Sorry but size really does matter. A serving of protein is about the size and thickness of your palm. Bad carbs should be limited to the size of a tight fist, while good carbs can be the size of two loose fists. Save the rest for leftovers. (more…)

Low Carb Vegetarian Diet

Low Carb Vegetarian DietThe low-carb vegetarian diet may seem a little tricky and even counterintuitive. After all, a low-carb diet is all about protein, protein, and more protein.

Not to mention that vegetarians are generally perceived as healthy individuals who are not likely to be overweight.

Katie Holmes: Skinny or Anorexic?

Katie Holmes: Skinny or Anorexic? In light of what appears to be Katie Holme’s sudden weight loss, a lot of people are asking these questions: Is Katie Holmes too skinny? Is Katie Holmes anorexic?

There is no reason to believe that Katie Holmes is anorexic, but she does look rather skinny, in my opinion. Her current weight is estimated to be about 110 pounds.

“Katie has always worried about her weight,” says an insider. “She just went on a diet to lose an extra 10 pounds. She gained a few pounds in Europe but now she’s lost it all and then some.” (more…)

Low Glycemic Diets: Just Hype?

Low Glycemic Diets: Just Hype?Could it be that low-glycemic diets are just hype? A recent study claims that low-glycemic diets are no more effective than diets which restrict calories.

Researchers from Boston studied 34 overweight people for one year and came to a rather controversial conclusion: When it comes to weight loss, calories – not carbohydrates – matter most.

In this study, half of the participants were put on a low-glycemic diet and the other half followed a high-glycemic diet. Both diets reduced calories by 30 percent, limited fat, and focused on eating high-fiber foods. At the end of the study, the low-glycemic dieters lost about 8 percent of their weight, but so did the high-glycemic dieters. (more…)
